Two iconic new series Doctor Who Props have surfaced on the UK eBay website. The pieces in question are from the 2006 series featuring David Tennant and Billie Piper and co-incidentally, both have been made into action-figure form at a later date.

The first piece of from the first two-parter of Series 2, and is featured in 'The Age of Steel' which saw the return of the Cybermen for the first time since the series had come back to TV. The prop itself is incredibly wide and still features working lights 10 years later! But, unless you carry £10,000 in your back-pocket, you might have to let this one go to someone else. You can see the item here.

The second piece is smaller, but during the show it was "bigger on the inside", featuring in the Series 2 finale 'Doomsday' the prop in question is the Genesis Ark, which despite opening up on screen, in reality only the back panel opens up so the operator can get in and out. Perhaps considered more memorable and iconic, this prop also costs £10,000.

But, there is one way we might be able to see these items in person again... The Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay is full of props from the classic and new series, is there a chance we can lobby them to get their hands on these, somehow. We'll see...

You can book tickets to the Doctor Who Experience via their official website here.

The wait is finally over! BBC Three have confirmed the new Young Adult drama, Class, written by Patrick Ness, will drop its first two episodes on BBC Three on Saturday 22 October.

Coal Hill acts like a beacon across all of space and time to any being who might want to use it for mischief….you’ll have to be on your guard.

Class drops on BBC Three, Saturday 22 October with the first episode "For Tonight We Might Die" and second episode "The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo".

Peter Capaldi will join the cast of exciting new talent in the opening episode of the series, For Tonight We Might Die. Coal Hill School holds some very dark and deadly secrets in its shadows… but who will survive?

Commenting on his involvement with the new Doctor Who spin-off series, Peter Capaldi, says: "The Doctor Who family is growing, and it’s fantastic to be able to welcome the young new cast of Class in to the Whoniverse."

It’s a new term at Coal Hill Academy, and students are preparing for their Autumn Prom. But when the school comes under attack, four alienated students must form an unlikely alliance to defeat them. And this incursion is only the beginning.

Charlie (Greg Austin), April (Sophie Hopkins), Ram (Fady Elsayed) and Tanya (Vivian Oparah), assisted by their physics teacher Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly), are charged with a great responsibility by the mysterious alien known as The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) to guard against the creatures of nightmare that want nothing more than to find a way through to Earth and take it for their own.

Patrick Ness has created intriguing and complex characters that have to navigate their way through more than just teenage hormones, exams and detention. Joining them as series regulars are Jordan Renzo, Pooky Quesnel and Nigel Betts. The first two episodes also feature Ben Peel, Anna Shaffer, Paul Marc Davies, and Shannon Murray.

YA writer and Class creator Patrick Ness, says: "At last, we can tell you a little more about Class! Though there are still many, many secrets to come. Many. Like, a lot. But of COURSE, the Doctor is in episode one! That’s how these things are done. Truly, though, I can't wait for everyone to see the show; we've worked so hard and I'm so proud of it. Soon, soon..."

Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three, says: "We know lots of BBC Three fans are Doctor Who fans so Class on BBC Three is a perfect fit. It’s nice to be back as part of the Doctor Who family."

From Writer Patrick Ness, Director Ed Bazalgette (Poldark, Doctor Who), Producer Derek Ritchie, and Executive Producers Patrick Ness, Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin, the BBC Studios Wales production, co-produced with BBC America and BBC Worldwide.

Yesterday the BBC released the official final press release for the Doctor Who spin-off 'Class', as a side-article to that news, we are pleased to announce that you could be in with a chance to watch the world premiere in London before it is released online on BBC Three.

Class World premiere will take place on Thursday 20 October, and the exclusive event will be hosted by Radio 1Xtra Breakfast DJ A.Dot, and will be followed by a Q&A with lead cast Greg Austin, Sophie Hopkins, Fady Elsayed, and Vivian Oparah, and writer and executive producer Patrick Ness.

The event will be taking place at the Rich Mix Cinema in Coal Hill School’s hometown of Shoreditch, ahead of the BBC Three premiere on Saturday 22 October.

Coal Hill School has been a part of the Doctor Who Universe since the very beginning, but that has come at a price. All the time travelling over the years has caused the very walls of space and time to become thin. There’s something pressing in on the other side, something waiting for its chance to kill everyone and everything, to bring us all into Shadow.

Fear is coming, tragedy is coming, war is coming. Prepare yourselves, Class is coming.

Tickets will be allocated by random draw. You can register at any time until 4pm on Friday 7 October. You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets. Multiple applications will be deleted.

The classic story 'Power of The Daleks' featuring Patrick Troughton’s debut as the Doctor is to be released later this year as a digital download on BBC Store and on DVD.

It's one of the Doctor’s most celebrated adventures and yet no complete film recordings of The Power of the Daleks are known to have survived. The master negatives were destroyed in an archive purge in 1974.

BBC Worldwide has today announced after much previous speculation of the release that a brand new black and white animation based on audio recordings of the programme using the original cast, surviving photographs and film clips will be released 50 years - to the minute, after its only UK broadcast on BBC One.

The six half hour episodes feature the regeneration of First Doctor William Hartnell into Second Doctor Patrick Troughton, as the Time Lord and his companions Polly (Anneke Wills) and Ben (Michael Craze) do battle with the Daleks on the planet Vulcan.

Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks is being produced by the team behind the highly successful animation of lost Dad’s Army episode A Stripe For Frazer, first released on BBC Store in February this year. The producer and director is Charles Norton, with character designs from acclaimed comic book artists Martin Geraghty and Adrian Salmon.

Charles Norton says, "The Power of the Daleks animation is the most ambitious Doctor Who archive restoration ever attempted and we’re all very honoured to be a part of such a an exciting project. Intelligent, suspenseful and magnificently staged, Power of the Daleks is one of the great lost classics of 1960s television and a superb example of the black and white era at its finest."

Paul Hembury, Executive Producer, BBC Worldwide says, "Charles and his team are remarkably talented and passionate about Doctor Who and we are thrilled that fans will soon be able to enjoy this rather sinister but wonderful, classic story."

Doctor Who: The Power Of The Daleks will be released on BBC Store on Saturday 5th November followed by the DVD on Monday 21st November.

Pre-orders of the DVD will be available on Amazon and HMV shortly, with a RRP of £20.42.

On Saturday 5th November there will be a special screening of episodes 1-3 at the BFI Southbank, London which will also include a Q&A with Anneke Wills, Charles Norton and Frazer Hines. Further information will be available from Monday 19th September.
